# Understanding Your Performance

> Reading your dashboard with context

***

Your dashboard is essentially a summarized view of all the chats generated from your prompts. It aggregates individual responses into metrics that help you track trends over time.

Instead of treating each metric separately, it’s important to understand how they work together.

***

## Core performance areas

***

### Visibility

Visibility measures how often your brand appears across all AI responses.

A higher visibility score means your brand is frequently included in relevant conversations, while a lower score indicates gaps in your presence.

***

### When analyzing visibility, focus on:

* Trends over time rather than daily changes
* Comparison with competitors
* Specific prompts or topics where visibility is weak

***

### Position

Position reflects where your brand appears within responses when it is mentioned.

Being listed first or early in a response generally leads to higher impact, as users tend to trust and engage with the first few recommendations.

***

### Position helps you understand:

* Your authority relative to competitors
* Which topics you dominate
* Where you appear but lack prominence

***

### Sentiment

Sentiment shows how AI models describe your brand.

A neutral sentiment often means your brand is included but not strongly endorsed. Positive sentiment indicates strong positioning, while negative sentiment may highlight perception issues.

***

### When interpreting sentiment:

* Look at overall trends rather than isolated cases
* Compare sentiment across platforms
* Identify patterns in how competitors are described

***

### Recent chats

Whenever you notice a change in visibility, position, or sentiment, reviewing recent chats will help you understand what caused that change.

### Using filters effectively

Your dashboard includes filters for:

* AI platforms
* Date ranges

***

These allow you to focus your analysis on specific scenarios.

For example:

* Comparing performance across platforms
* Analyzing trends over a specific time period
* Understanding how you perform against a particular competitor
